Living Legends 11 not at CPX Sports this year
« on: December 13, 2017, 01:49:21 PM »
From Paul Dagnino co-owner of CPX;

CPX to move Living Legends 11 - Inferno, to the legendary Hell Survivors in Pinckney, MI for 2018.

The reason behind the move is the imminent construction of a bridge that will span the Des Plains River and connect Houbolt Rd to an extended Vetter Rd. The project, which is slated to begin in the Spring, will have a construction footprint that includes the eastern most border of CPX Sports - parts of which are close to Living Legends camping, staging, fields of play, and insertion points. In the interests of safety and liability, we’ve made the decision to move the event to an incredible, iconic Midwest paintball park while construction is underway.
The world-famous Hell Survivors is a 180-acre complex, conveniently located less than 45-minutes from Detroit Metro Airport, that has a 35-year history of hosting some of Paintball’s most notable large events - Michigan Monster Game and World Challenge. The neighboring cities of Brighton and Howell have all the amenities you’re used to and have come to expect - including plenty of hotels, restaurants, and bars.

It is our sincere hope that you join us as we take Living Legends on the road and bring it to one of Paintball’s most celebrated and historic big game fields. Pre-registration will open tomorrow and feature our best promotional incentives to date.

Wow! That's a pretty significant shift. Rare to see a scenario of that magnitude move. It's cool the two fields were able to work together and make it happen.

Yeah I am going to have to check the logistics of that field instead. Distance for drives and what not. I am already getting hit up to play on certain legions. I know the one general well Connor Makenzie. Real good guy.

Well poop. Having a convo with Phoenix last night and did some checking. Hells Survivor Field is 707 miles from my house. CPX is 495 miles. It will add another 3 hours or so worth of drive time. It is just north of Ann Arbor. As much as I would love to see friends and do this event, adding another 3 hours travel time to an 8 1/2 hour drive doesn't sound too appealing to me! I have heard great things about the field. The game would be fun, but that drive there and back will not.

Here, fixed it:
