Sporting clays
« on: August 22, 2018, 06:17:04 PM »
Went and shot some sporting clays last year before my wedding with the wedding party and some family. I want to go do this again sometime this year. I get Tuesday or Thursday off depending on the week, thinking it will be slower during the week versus a weekend.  Who would be interested in coming along? If you dont have a shotgun we can share guns and I can bring a few if needed.

I have class starting next month but I'm on Mon Wed this year. Any Tues/Thurs after 4 should work for me.

If we go how many rounds do you guys want to shoot?  They have a 50 round event or a 100 round. Last year we did 100 rounds. We will have to let them know when we want to shoot, the next time I have a full day off will be Sept 13 or the 18th.  Would that day work? If other people want to go but can only make it on a weekend we can always ask if they'll have room on a given weekend.  Link to the site http://www.pheasantbonanza.com/sporting-clays/

Either day will work as long as we start after 4. Just need to bring my shotgun to work, what could go wrong?

also as far as shells go it will likely be cheaper to buy them in a flat and then divide them up as needed.  I'll give guns unlimited a call on Tuesday, they normally do a discount if paying cash.

Guys, seriously, this is a blast and is a great friendly competition. Really though, please consider coming to this. It is so much fun, lots of laughs, and some serious bruises.

the bruises come from shooting a pump all day and/or not keeping it in the pocket.

Okay, shells are roughly $51 a flat, which is 10 boxes. To make things simple, I can buy enough flats for people to shoot and you pay me back the cost of the box- about $5.25.

So the original dates dont work with those that showed interest. Would the 23rd of this month work?
